before & after

what is on your mind? is this the start of recovery?
2004-04-10 & 7:02 p.m.

growing up is not synonymous to boring or monotony or nightly walks in the same neighborhood. growing up is knowing when to begin and end and when to never label anything as "the beginning" or "the end." sometimes, it is your throat lined with your stomach, or sadness masking itself as your stomach, but knowing that it's the better road to take. it's believing in life's malleability and seeing the city lights and walking away and jumping towards.

growing up is rediscovering how big a five year old's sky is. because, truly, it is just that big. or rather, it is even bigger than any of us know.
